I applied for the citizenship on 11th Feb. I called them yesterday to find out what's happening and I was told that it can take up to 3 months to get the approval letter + another 3-6 months...

once your visa is validated you can leave the country for as long as you want. You can have multiple entries in five years after that you need a resident return visa.

If you got a permanent residence permit in any country it means that you can work for anybody. Getting just a work permit is a different issue.

DIMIA says 4 weeks for ETA eligble countries (most wesetrn "low risk" countries) , 8 weeks for others, if the nomation and the application are sent together.
