It doesn't have to be EU, although it's convenient to be able jump on a plane and be back in London in a couple of hours.

Canada does interest me, but obviously I have the problem 2 years down...

Just looking for some advice on whether it's possible to live in Portugal and work remotely for a UK based company, under the D7 visa?

My understanding is that it's possible to do this via the D7 visa and then applying for Residence permit, and then onto PR if you wish....
