Re: Expat returning to the UK with Dutch wife?

This is why we now plan to retain our Netherlands residency whilst her application is processed. I thought we could apply from the UK, but if that is not possible then we will have to make an online...

Re: Expat returning to the UK with Dutch wife?

Initially we thought that as the process takes 24 weeks we wanted to start the application soon so that when we move over my wife will already have the visa. This would allow us to arrange with the...

I will move to the UK as soon as my house is sold in the Netherlands which I'm targeting for between April and May 2024, but no later then May 2024, this is so I can oversee the final build...

Re: One stop advice service for returning to the UK?

Fortunately for us we have a small nest-egg from the sale of our house in the Netherlands so the lump sum of 62,000 GBP will be no problem. I am curious though how the 7K GBP is built up over five...

Re: One stop advice service for returning to the UK?

By registration I mean applying for my wifes resident status, I suppose that's the same as applying for a visa. I tried to look at my UK NI record online but it seems it's not possible if you are not...

Re: One stop advice service for returning to the UK?

Thanks for the info but unfortunately we won't be returning until the summer of 2023 and EU Settlement Scheme only applies if you return before 29 March 2022.

Re: One stop advice service for returning to the UK?

I was hoping to find a sort of "one stop" service provider that could advise us on all the aspects of returning, rather than the individual areas like tax, pension, health insurance, registration...
