Yes from what I can tell, there are some free bits and pieces of photograph software available which frame the photos for you to 2 inch * 2 inch and adjust their pixels.

Thank you so much. My wife and I got professional photos taken, but I think we might be best to do the same for the kids!

From what I can read online, apparently a lot hinges on the photographs...

Thanks, yes that's probably best. I think also there are regulations about the dimensions of the photo and that they must be 600 pixels x 600 pixels.

Yes that's true. We aren't seeking to move away hoping it will be a "cheaper" place to live etc but at the same time it would be naïve of us to be ignorant of the cost of living issues and not plan...

Thanks for this info, yes we have a lot of thinking to do about jobs/finances if we were to make the move over. I'm not sure about how the cost of living in Ireland compares with the cost of living...
