Only if you arrive by air at Gibraltar Airport from outside Schengen. If you travel by land to Gibraltar, you just walk straight through, as the land border is no more and you are already in Schengen.

Yes, that was the New Territories leased to UK in 1898, and Hong Kong Island and Kowloon which were ceded to UK. In 1997 all three territories had their sovereignty transferred to People's Republic.
