Re: S1 NHS Form

Yes, you're absolutely right

I didn't cut, copy and paste the whole page from the website because I expected people (who were interested) to read it and see for themselves... but I agree that the...

I would look at THIS .gov.uk link
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/healthcare-for-eu-and-efta-citizens-visiting-the-uk

It has a section entitled
"UK nationals who no longer live in the UK"...

Re: DIY importing a car from EU to UK

Thanks for your comments.

You're right about the insurance and residency. Because we have a house in Italy, which we're keeping for the time being (it will become a second home) it's possible for...

Re: Piazza Armerina mosaics

I have developed a certain amount of sympathy with Italy and the Italians over this issue.
I'll talk about the province of Viterbo also (since that is where I am), but I think it's fairly...

Re: DIY importing a car from EU to UK

Thanks for your reply. I should have said that I had already looked at that info (the link that you shared), but I was wondering what people's real experience was because some of that is written with...

Re: feeling the stress getting ready to move back to the UK ( Scotland)

Waiting isn't always possible. Depends how long it takes to get a permanent address. Depends if you need to take medication that requires a prescription. In my experience (which of course makes it...

Re: feeling the stress getting ready to move back to the UK ( Scotland)

As I said in my previous comment, they should not really insist on this but...

Re: Free public healthcare for British residents covered by the WA

Nor me. Just spent a month reregistering with the NHS, because the problems we were having with our local ASL being a factor (but not the only factor) in our decision to move back to the UK. Ah......

Re: British Corner Shop

I consider myself pro-EU. Note this is different to the tag of being "a Remainer" because that campaign was really only focussing on potential negatives to the UK (primarily economic), whereas I...

Re: British Corner Shop

Voted for Brexit and wanted to run a business exporting stuff into the EU from the UK without lots of hurdles to overcome? ... Obviously he thought he could have his Victoria Sponge and eat it! ;-)
