Stolen residency card

My wallet and residency card were stolen. I have reported the theft to the police and they have given me a police report of the incident.
How do i get a replacement card ?

what are the pros and cons of permanant residence and citizenship

Other than the right to stay in the shengen area for over 90 days at a time , what are the pros and cons of residency and citizenship. ( I am thinking of security, tax, pensions , inheritance etc...

I certainly dont want to miss it and lose my residency status on the technicality of being late in applying , and given the backlog of work at Aima I dont want to be here without my residency status....

1 my residency (paper) started November 2021 and I am fast approaching my 5 years of residency and should be required to reapply for a further 5 years.
My card was issued in September 2022 and valid...

Come to think of it, as the first of those cards weren't issued until 2022 and with a minimum validity period of 5 years, why would anybody be needing to renew one at the moment anyway?[/QUOTE]

I suggest you talk to the international expat community in Tomar. They meet at Orquestra de Sabores cafe (next to the river ) on Friday nights 17.00 to 19.00
