According to historical data, here in the central Ribetejo region of Portugal we should receive approximately 26 inches of rain a year.
This year I think we have had more. Does anyone know an accurate rainfall in their region of Portugal ?

More rain (total) every year between Oct and March in the Algarve than back in my part of the UK, which is East Anglia.

Haveyou tried the IPMA website .https://www.ipma.pt/ . Weuse it alot for daily weather but maybe somewhere it registers regional rainfall.
We're also in the Ribatejo area, and this must be the wettest(especially this month) winter we've had.

I popped back to UK last Thursday morning. The evening before I emptied my wheelbarrow of rain water. It was left in middle of garden. I came back on Tuesday night. This is the wheelbarrow this (Wednesday) afternoon.....showing 11cm since Wednesday evening.

I think you should propose a new international measurement "Wheelbarrows of Rain" as I am sure it will catch on
We have had no wheelbarrows of rain this week where I live but a few wheelbarrows forecast for the next few days.

Yes pretty accurate method. No rain this week? Are you in UK?

Nope, I live about 40km from Porto and it has hardly rained for about 10 days cos the Algarve has been stealing all our rain. Bit wet today though but probably less than a wheelbarrow/day so far but it's going to get wetter.

As toots sweet mentioned, official data can be found here with daily monitoring: https://www.ipma.pt/en/oclima/monitoriza.dia/
I'm in the West of Ireland and we received 7.3mm for March so far, normal would be 89.7mm. We've had below average rainfall since last year November but hoping for the rain this weekend so the wildflowers get a boost.
