I take daily rainfall measurements as well as max/min temperatures here in Elorrio, Bizkaia (inland).
Looking at winter averages (Jan, Feb, Mar) since 2020 (inclusive) we've actually had less winter rainfall than 'usual'.
For example since 2020 to 2025 annual rainfall was as follows:
January 52,161,189, 277, 90, 90.
February 42, 71, 51, 67, 195, 55
March 164, 65 108, 52, 146, 60 (so far)
Our annual average since 2015 has been 1620 litres.
Obviously from weather reports lately on TVE1 southern Spain has been experiencing unusually more rainfall.
And currently, the average % capacity of the reservoirs in the whole country is 65%. Which is good.

According to the Spanish Met Office, its likely to be the wettest March ever recorded. 4 named storms in 12 days is pretty unusual and Portugal has been in the firing line.

The last couple of weeks have been pretty rainy compared with the last two years here in our part of the Costa Blanca.
The water levels at the Fonts de Algar have meant its closed again until the amount of water slows. But that's more to do with the snow further inland and north of us than rain.
Guadalest reservoir is still well below the level it should be at.
The problem is not how much we have had more the fact that its not in any continuous period.
The last decent amount was a couple of years ago where it rained for at least the first three weeks of March.
