Under old pensions rules at A-Day, 06/04/2006, I was entitled to a Protected Pension Age of 50. 30 years of working in pensions admin for crap salaries at least gave me a lot of useful knowledge.

I was in the pensions industry for 30 years so my UK knowledge is very good. Different ball game from the expat angle though!! Plus, tax is a minefield too.

Got you now I think. Even though 6 April 2019 to 1 July 2019 is before my 183 days, the fact that I'd be there for that period and the rest of 2019, makes me subject to Spanish tax for all of 2019?

Thanks, thar's what I thought. So I could use pension income drawdown between 6th April and 1st July which would be subject to more favourable UK tax?
