I arrived in Melbourne 3 weeks ago on my defacto spouse visa with a one way ticket - no questions asked, passport stamped & away I went.

Should be fine.

Like all the other suggestions, we just mentioned in our statements that we supported each other which included all taking part in the running of the housework, shopping etc.
