Re: Is anyone else feeling affected by the abduction of Maddy McCann?

Re: British Schools

In the UK apparently the difference in cost per pupil between 'regular' schools and 'small' schools isn't that much (I've looked into this) and it is argued by organisations such as HSE (Human Scale...

Re: What the hell are EMO's?

My hair is dark purple with dark pink through it - goes up in a quiff (although generally I can't be bothered so it just looks like a short crop). dh has a black flat top with a pillarbox red streak...

Re: Need advice on school in U.K - psycho teacher

In my experience the reality is HE is that you do mix with other families and indeed in the wider community. There are lots of HE groups around the country (although some people can't access them...

Re: Need advice on school in U.K - psycho teacher

It can be a tough choice with a SEN child, but I think some people get to the point of desperation, not that - I hasten to add - this applies to all people HE-ing children with SEN as it depends on...

Re: Need advice on school in U.K - psycho teacher

IMO The government has a lot to answer for on the closure of Special Schools. Our local one looks lovely (as we initially looked at Special Schools for R., but the general consensus from the schools...

Re: Now then, who would try 'freebirthing?

(((Katie))) that is very sad.

Most of my friends have had homebirths, but it isn't something I've chosen to do because I'm a terrible worrier whilst pregnant and have also spent spells in hospital...

Re: Need advice on school in U.K - psycho teacher

Yes and I know some very stressed-out managers of LSUs attached to large inner-city comprehensives, not an easy job at all, this inclusion business.

Re: Now then, who would try 'freebirthing?

I know a few women who have given birth without assistance (but not through planning so). I also know someone who was having a homebirth, felt a bit 'off' went to the loo and had baby in the loo...

Re: Need advice on school in U.K - psycho teacher

Hmmmm, I was told something very similar. My son had complained that he was being bullied. I spent 2 years (!) going back and forth to the school to be told that due to my son's disability...
