Did you have to give original documents or can you give copies of the documents you submit for things like passports, birth certs etc. ?

Or do they ask for these at the check in application...

Everything is cheaper in the UK don't be fooled. Life in Canada is VERY VERY Expensive.

Just wanted to say it as it is.

Actually the only thing that's cheaper is Gas, but you have to drive...

Do you know if I can use the same day service for my husband that lives in Canada? I assume I would have to fly back to the UK to make the application instead of making it from Canada?

One last question, would my spouse be allowed to leave Canada whilst applying for the visa to go somewhere for 2 weeks (not the UK) like the USA during the application. Do they take your passport...
