Re: Reasonable tampa income?

I moved over to Florida in sales too. Depending on your experience and industry, I would say $100k base is pretty low. With a family of 5, you'll need to be regularly earning $200k+ to have a decent...

Re: What is it like moving from the UK to Orlando?

I live in Orlando and love it. Very sociable lifestyle, large British ex-pat community, diverse cultures and plenty of things to do on a weekend.

Re: Relocating from UK to USA with 16 and 14

We live in Winter Garden near Orlando and are very happy. Take a look at Ken Pozak's YouTube page if you want to learn more about WG or the surrounding areas.

Re: Can I change jobs shortly after receiving EB green card?

Thanks, but isn't standards for 204(j) job portability only relevant to people with their I-485 still pending?

I am fully approved with green card in hand since October 2021.

Can I change jobs shortly after receiving EB green card?

Hi all,

I originally came to the US in 2017 on an L1-B visa and received my E36 category GC at the end of October 2021.

I've been with my current employer 10 years in total across the UK & US...

Re: Covid 19 Travel/Immigration to USA - please check here and ask questions

I believe you can get a NIE as an L2 without the L1 traveling with you as my friends did it this summer. The L1 was already living here and the spouse and child L2 came out later on their own after...

Re: Tax implications on sale of UK property (prior primary residence)

I also fell foul of the foreign mortgage gain tax when we moved to Orlando in 2017. Neither my relocation consultant nor tax advisor had warned me about it in advance of selling my UK house upon...

Re: Current Travel Situation UK to USA?

No it’s an antigen test which is fine for entry to U.K.

I do not believe vaccinations have any effect on results.

Re: Current Travel Situation UK to USA?

I've twice used CVS Rapid tests. Book the test less than 72hrs before you depart and you'll get your results back within 2hrs.

Re: Moving to US (pending Covid)

Plus even with good health insurance, there is still likely to be a few thousand out of pocket max per year. So all it would take is a bout of illness / accident that requires a short stay in the...

Re: Moving to US (pending Covid)

You will burn through your savings in NYC on that salary. If you're important enough to your employer for them to go through the rigmarole of getting you a visa, then you're important enough to be...

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about it, I think that is natural for anyone who loves their pet enough to take them across the world with them. However, pets in the cargo hold is a very...

Re: Irish clinical psychologist relocating to America

Exactly this.

I moved on L-1B in 2017 and was initially office-based to help with onboarding, but since 2018 have been working remotely full time from another state entirely.
