Re: Private pension from UK taken in Ireland

With the Irish Revenue its a case of; see no evil hear no evil.
Best approach when one deals with them is to say SFA about ones financial affairs. They are only interested in brown envelopes really....

You speak the truth 100%, and anyone retired would do very well to read and think deeply on what you have stated. Its a valuable heads up....

Re: new to forum - pensioners view on move to ireland

Do you have a policy of spamming every single thread on here with nonsense? But then again, you are omniscient as you work in IT in Galway; in other words utopia.
You do realise VAT means; Value...

Re: Moving home with US Spouse?

With the option of Trump or Clinton as ones president I don't blame them for wanting to emigrate. Who would want to go back to that?
Sure why wouldn't things work out for them here? Enda Kenny...

Re: Where to live in Dublin

I live in Dalkey. You may like it here. We don't have many Eastern Europeans.
I suppose they cannot afford to rent or buy here. Natural selection really.
Its mainly affluent middle-class Irish...

Re: Ireland full of Eastern Europeans now

You speak the truth here. I am already seeing this with second-generation Polish kids born here. They consider themselves Irish, and why wouldn't they? They are born here the same as I was. Most of...

Re: Ireland full of Eastern Europeans now

You are mistaken.
I am employed.
An IT job is not my cup of tea as you out it.
I worked in London for English firms previously; or for foreigners as you put it.
So working for a foreign firm, or...

Re: Ireland full of Eastern Europeans now

You are mistaken. I was born in Ireland and lived here 20 years before I emigrated to the UK for work. I came back 7 years ago. So that is 27 years under my belt, living in my country. So my opinion...
