Having tried another half-dozen times, without success, I tried clearing my browser cache, then logging in again.

This time it was successful, so was able to view the latest message from CIC.

Thanks - re-use of documents between 'proof of relationship' and 'financial dependency' will ease matters, as we have copies of joint lease agreement and joint bank account, covering utility bills.
