I use transferwise, the exchange rate and charges for $1000 was

The rate was 1 USD = 0.7535 GBP, and the fee charged was $9.90.

I have not read through all your posts, but I gathered you like small towns... a beautifully small town is Fairhope in south Alabama. Its 20/30 minutes from the i10 and is often ignored by tourists...

a note of caution is that you do more miles than you did in the UK!

If you can lease over 36 months you will get a great deal! I was limited to 24 months!

Hyundai are good! only 36 months min...

They will ask you who you work for?
What you do? (checking if it matches the Petition)

Lost or stolen U.S. visas cannot be replaced in the United States. For replacement of a visa, you must apply in person at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate abroad....

The exchange rate is hardly worth losing sleep over unless your sending huge amounts of cash, I have tried all of these exchange sites including Xe.com

Xoom.com get my money hassle free into my UK...

Xoom is brilliant can transfer up to $3500 for $5! I used my bank at first but I was getting charges all over the place.. in the usa end and the uk end!

There retired... taking a state pension so therefore they dont pay an tax at all on it!

They shouldn't pay any tax unless there earning a lot of money from other sources than pensions such as...

Its become more popular and if you have some cash sitting in a bank it makes more sense to mortgage a property on a buy to let mortgage... you in essence are making money! The house in essence pays...
