Hi Thankyou for the replies. My partner is the main applicant he's a sheet metal welder/fabricatior so we can go for the 189 visa. I didn't know if Australia recognised my qualifications or not...

Trade Test/ Certifying documents

Hi my partner is the main applicant on a 189 visa. I'm a hairdresser, do I have to do a trade test and get my qualifications certified? Or can I just go over with him and work straight away?...

Hi we are applying for the 189 visa shortly. I'm a little confused with the English test. My partner has to take it but does he have to do the Academic IELTS or the General Training one.

Thankyou I've just rung Emirates again and a different woman said it wasn't compulsory. That will be so much easier than carrying a big car seat around especially if I can't use it in OZ! Thankyou...

ive been researching and it seems to cost alot more for schooling etc if your not a PR. We might come out there for a couple of months on a visitor visa and see what we think then we could apply for...
