Claimed the refund from the online receipt account which was very easy to do - just click on a link for a refund.

I applied for an open work permit.

I've paid for:
- open work permit $155
- Biometrics $85
- open work permit holder fee $100
- (extra fee of $155 to change closed permit to open permit.... not sure if I should've paid this...

Sorry I don't have any knowledge about the Immigration Programme that you've chosen, but..
if I was in your shoes that's what I would do!
And make a copy of all communications to take to the Border...

Given that your flight is not until late August, why don't you attempt to correct the error now with IRCC before turning up to the Border in dread?

New LMIA - That's why IRCC pointed me in the direction of a webpage on JOB BANK for people in my situation. Those employers already have LMIA, they said.

I agree with RachRig about the relief experienced after receiving the Work Permit. Not sure why it's portrayed as so scary!
