Re: MDAC required for foreign visitors from 01 Dec 2023

I have too, more than once. The only problem you may encounter is that check-in staff at the foreign departure airport may not know the rules and require you to fill in the MDAC despite you pointing...

Re: New MM2H "Guidelines" Released by MOTC

Re: Retiring to Malaysia

First you may want to ascertain whether or not an annuity is considered as income for the purposes of applying for West Malaysia's MM2H. I don't know for sure, but I think they really want you to be...

Re: MDAC required for foreign visitors from 01 Dec 2023

Someone is reporting on the Sarawak MM2H Facebook group that they phoned Immigration to check and were told that SMM2H/MM2H holders do not need to fill out an MDAC. This being Malaysia, though, it's...

Re: MDAC required for foreign visitors from 01 Dec 2023

Yes, but on the "Check Egates Eligilbility Status (https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/egate)" page, it says:

Possibly MM2H counts as a Long Term Pass.

1. Correct

2. A few years ago this was standard procedure, but now with the rising xenophobia in Malaysia it's become a lot trickier. You can probably do a visa run once as long as you stay out of...

Re: August 2022: Malaysia now taxes foreign-sourced income not taxed at source

Second question, if the source country doesn't tax it because that's how their system is structured or the amount doesn't reach the taxable threshold,...

I'm not sure this is an adequate response to your post, FlyGuy, but LHDN.AG.600-1/7/3 makes it very clear that if income is not taxable in your home country, or wherever it was earned, for whatever...
