The officer there said: but you don't have the I-551 stamp ! I told him that they don't give them anymore. And he went to talk...

Then I don't have the I-551 stamp.
Maybe it's because the CR-1's don't get that stamp because CR-1 is conditional permanent residency ?

I got into the US yesterday, with my CR-1 visa. I got a stamp, that looks almost like the regular stamp you get when entering on the VWProgram. The stamp is red, tiny, and just says: US...

CR-1 Interview, October 21st, 2004,

so, a little over 3 months. Pretty good ! I saved a lot of time using the K-3 interview date as the CR-1 interview date....

I have my interview on Thursday at the Madrid Consulate for my CR-1 visa, I´ll ask about the I-551 stamp (But I doubt they are that organized there).

I believed that, when you entered on a CR-1 visa or IR-1, you have the Visa sticked to your passport...so , isn´t that enough proof for leaving the country, looking for a job while you get the...

I´m not doing AOS, just consular processing (CR-1). That´s what it says, that the greencard comes in the mail two weeks later or so....

I just called the NVC and they have sent my case to the Madrid Consulate !!!
I´m so happy !!! So my k-3 interview scheduled for Oct 21st will become now a CR-1 interview, I guess !!! ...

Wow !!! only 10 days !! Mine took 6 months in the US ! if I had known it was going to take so long (the k-3) I would have tried to make my husband become a Spain citizen !!!

It was about time ! Mine was approved too, but I'm still waiting for my K-3

after 6 months of waiting !!!

Now we'll see if I can do the K-3 or I can get the CR-1 almost at the same time in Spain.

Thanks for your answer, Rete. I'm still waiting for the I-129f approval because that K-3 visa will take me to the US earlier than the CR-1 visa...but MSC is taking so long that I don't know.
