Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

So this is something I learned the hard way...when we submitted our applications, you couldn't do it online (Sept 2019) so I had to submit paper copies x 3. I then got a code to mailed to me so that...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

The status of our applications didn't change for months, and then we got a request for further information. Even after sending that it took forever. I found that once you have the interview date, you...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

Hi HindaHirsch

Unfortunately not. Mine were 12, 9 and 4 when we went to the interview. We even got moved to a different office (requested Seattle, had to attend in Yakima) so it was a verrrrrrrry...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

Hi Jwickstrom
I believe that you can change your requested field office, but I think that may put you right back to the bottom of the pile. I know it's frustrating, but it might just be easier to...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

Our applications were accepted in late September 2019…then covid happened. Hopefully they’ve worked through the majority of the backlog now and things are getting back to normal processing times....

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

Just wanted to post a quick update for anyone who is interested!

After a very long process, several re-schedules, and about 300 emails, we FINALLY managed to get to the US (Yakima, WA which was...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

My situation is very different to yours (applied from UK, no adoption involved, submitted paper applications, Seattle field office), but if there's one thing I know about, it's timescales. My N600k...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

I thought I had, but I guess the evidence wasn’t as strong as I thought. Unfortunately, because of the length of time since my dad lived in the US, I don’t really have anything of massive worth that...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

And we have movement, though I’m not sure it’s good. I’ve just received 3 notices of continuance relating to my 3 N600-k applications. Unfortunately for me, I’ve already submitted everything I have....

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

Looks like we picked the wrong office! No word yet (5 months in) and the Seattle office is now closed due to Covid-19. Family in the area have told me that it's pretty eerie there at the moment with...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

Thats brilliant - congratulations to you all! Can I ask how long the whole process took? Also, why did your lawyer advise Vermont? We’ve chosen Seattle (we have family nearby) but we’re still waiting...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

An ir-30?

No immediate plans to move now, so we decided that the n-600k was the better option for us. I want to ensure that my kids have options when they are deciding on college or jobs, and...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they're not a ridiculously busy office, but who knows! I went on the USCIS website to look at wait times for Seattle, and compared it with a load of other places...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

Thank you Michelle11 for your reply. It is so frustrating how little information is out there about the N600k, and the processing time of 6 - 27 months isn't very helpful!! It's good to hear about...

Re: Anyone done N600K recently?

Sorry to resurrect a dying thread, but I just wanted to ask a quick question about timescales. I've submitted 3 N-600k's for my children and have received confirmation that they are being "actively...

N-600k - proving physical presence

Hello all! So after a lot of deliberating over a number of years, I’ve finally decided that I’m going to apply for passports for my 3 children (born in U.K.) using the n-600k. At first I thought we’d...

Yep, that's what I thought, and yes, I know we've been debating this for a long time. It's a complicated decision!

Temporary residency for a spouse?

Hi All,

I think I already know the answer to this, but thought I'd check here as you're the experts! My question is, for the spouse of a USC, is there any way for them to enter the US with the...

Re: How do I pay my filing fees from an offshore bank?!

I just assumed (I checked the HSBC website) that I'd be able to get one from my bank here, so I hadn't thought beyond that at all Ian. It's a good suggestion, but I don't really have anyone I could...

Re: How do I pay my filing fees from an offshore bank?!

Yes, I had hoped to finally get the I-130's submitted for my husband and children. We're all currently living on the Isle of Man, hence no US bank account. Apparently if we were actually in the UK,...

How do I pay my filing fees from an offshore bank?!

Just wondering if there is anyone out there with experience of trying to pay filing fees from "offshore" (in my case, the Isle of Man)? I've been told today at the two banks I hold accounts with...
