Re: Getting residence certificate (EU citizen)

On the matter of the EHIC / GHIC (I'll just refer to the pair as EHIC from now), and given that you might not be able to enrol in the health service for a while - at least until you do have an...

Re: Getting residence certificate (EU citizen)

Yes, sorry about propagating that further on my part. I since had a re-check of the law, the national government sponsored websites that cover the topic, and a couple of municipal websites where they...

Re: Getting residence certificate (EU citizen)

Actually, that might not be any problem at all. Proof of address is not a required document - my error / memory lapse. I thought the address was recorded on the certificate but it appears not. Also,...

Yes, I can see that now

I'm not sure all the language schools would necessarily agree, though. And if they did, they could still hire Irish nationals without any bother.

Re: Brexit Decimates ESL Schools in Europe

It's certainly made things more difficult for anyone wanting a smooth and relatively hassle-free transfer of residence.

Re: Brexit Decimates ESL Schools in Europe

They don't any longer have the automatic right to work in the EU.

However, those who were already in the EU pre-Brexit retain their rights in their country of residence and those who were not, or...

Re: Married to Portuguese Citizen, Job Offer Pending

Well - excellent news. I'm truly delighted to have been contradicted on my overly pessimistic take by people much better placed than I to know what's what. I'm sure they're privy to information about...

Re: Married to Portuguese Citizen, Job Offer Pending

I agree that you have rights as the spouse of a PT citizen equivalent to those applicable to spouses of other EU nationals. Also that residency can be formalised from within the country, as opposed...

Re: Car Tax Imposto Único Circulação ~How to Pay in Advance ?

You can't pay it until the bill has been generated, as you won't have the necessary payment reference until then.

Once it has been, you can pay it online via homebanking or at a Multibanco machine...
