From the explanation I have taken it that there is no fee if they are just helping you with PR and are happy to wait 6 months for the application to go through and then hire you or there is $1000 fee...

Am I right in saying that if it is for the purpose of the EE entry profile then the employer doesn't pay a fee for the LMIA.

IEC is an option we have looked at after your last suggestion but...

Thank you for your help we weren't sure if we could get an open work permit without an LMIA. We will go back to the employer and tell him it is not possible without an LMIA.

Thank you for your reply. My partner is the main applicant but the employer who has offered his a job doesn't have a LMIA in place and has asked if we can obtain an open work permit.

Because with the IEC We are not both guaranteed to get a visa this way. We both want to do this experience together so we would if at all possible want to look at a joint application.
