Thanks. I suppose it was just to mitigate the risk of being rejected at the airport for some reason, and being sent on a plane back to the UK!

So, we've had our LMIA approved! (yay!) And are now looking at applying for the Temporary Work Permit.

As we're not planning to go until end of July we were looking at applying from the UK rather...

Thanks, that's very helpful. My partner's job will be in senior transport, and we've lived together for 6 years, so sounds like the spousal open work permit is the place to start!
