I've seen it in these forums a few times. I think it might be National Insurance contributions or something similar. It's around £2500. Cannot be claimed retrospectively. I should have book-marked...

Thanks Gunnar45. My benchmark thus far has been direct flights with Malaysian Airlines. LON > KUL return is c.£470 whereas KUL > LON return seems to be £150-200 more for the same dates. I got caught...
