Re: Back Home 2.5 weeks

I really like your line - I can't explain why these things just feel right here in the UK and never did in the US. I feel totally the same way, although I enjoyed parts of the living in the US...

Re: Update No#2 - 3 Months Back

Re: Update No#2 - 3 Months Back

Thanks :) Yes I definitely advise to get out as much as you can once you get back home because it's very easy to feel isolated if you don't! People are friendly you just have to find them rather than...

Update No#2 - 3 Months Back

Hey everyone! It's been just over 3 months since I headed back to England (lived in California for five years). The first week back I posted a very positive post on here - I was high on the big move...

Re: Looking for advice

Hey girl, I got my college degree in the US (I spent a year at UBC so I understand the Canadian education system too) my advice would be to get your degree first then go for the job of your dreams!...

Re: Should I Stay or Should I Go?

I completely agree with you. Despite what my moaning relatives say about public transport I've always found it a breeze in UK yes there are delays but mostly it's fine. I am also an avid hiker but...

Re: Should I Stay or Should I Go?

That's so great that your friendship is rekindled :) Fantastic :) Yes I don't think many American people, even very affluent and educated people I know and meet really understand much about the UK...

Re: Should I Stay or Should I Go?

At first it was nice getting extra attention for my accent, but for some reason people think it's OK to do impressions of your accent in front of you, even though I'm sure they'd never do so of a...

Re: Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Thanks I really appreciate your input :) I know it's not a barrel of laughs back home right now but I'd rather be a borderline poor young professional making my way there than here I think at least....

Re: Should I Stay or Should I Go?
