Re: Defaulting on US Taxes

First, you are a British, not English, citizen.

Second, your spouse is equally liable for the taxes. I imagine she might not want the attention from the IRS.

Third, if you have not got US...

Re: Elementary schools in Durham NC

Thanks for the reply. I have read that sometimes you get reassigned from your neighborhood school in Wake County - does that still happen?

I was looking at North Cary, or Northwest Raleigh.

Re: Thoughts month after moving into Bay Area

I just got back from Belfast. This comment really hits home.

I do not understand why USA grocers are so bad compared to Tesco, Sainsbury, even ASDA? Like you say, you have to go to 3 separate...

Re: J1 Visa Article 20A 2 year limit

My goodness. What a rip off.

$15000 + ($397*36=$14292) + tax = >$30,000 for a Nissan Rogue S

A quick look at Kelly blue book for Idaho suggests a fair price of $24,500 for a 2017 brand new...

Re: On L-1B - Company Telling Me To Switch H-1B

AFAIK H1B has to be renewed at 3 years.

Also, H1B visas are a specific target of our glorious leader. I can't say...

Re: Tips for Trader Joes

Good to point out that Trader Joe's value their workers. The pay is excellent, and the benefits are great. Similar to Costco.

Contrast with Safeway, Walmart, Ralphs, Vons, Target etc.
