I had an email monday lunchtime from the agency fella who's handling my application - he said immigration claimed they hadn't received any of the extra info he'd forwarded from me.

Ah OK, thanks Chris. For some reason I assumed if I lived in amy country for more than 6 months a police check was required for that country.

One less thing to stress about! :)

I'm just filling out the questions on my application...the last iec I went on was in 2013, I landed on 27th April and left Canada on 27th October.

Here's something that's confusing me. As of Wednesday last week, it reads the following;

Invitations issued:3580
Spots available:3511

Is it me or will the final round of invitations...

I withdrew my original application and reapplied January 8th. Had an invite to apply at 9.30pm last night! So fingers crossed it all goes okay from here on.Good luck to all in the pools.

I'm not that young at 28? Haha. The way I looked at it is that if they're to draw someone from the pool which has got work lined up, there would be more of a push towards accepting them for a visa...

After a little advice on the iec thing once again. Used this site when I applied in 2013 and ended up spending best part of a year working in Saskatchewan for a grain farm :)

They said its because i resided there for over 3 months. The position im applying for, the security clearance is just ridiculous.

What area of work are you looking at? As agriculture is massive in saskatchewan and pays pretty well

There wasnt a lot to do there for us once the harvest was done. Plus i had the girlfriend waiting at home. It wasnt too bad, the help on this forum made it bearable.

One thing which is ridiculous...
