IEC 2013 rcmp check

Anyone from the UK been asked to provide an RCMP criminal record check? My bf is currently in the UK awaiting his 2nd year IEC. He got a message in my cic saying that he needed to get fingerprints...

I was under the impression that if one is currently on an IEC visa there is no implied status? ....ie. even if he applies to vegreville he still can't just stay in the country as a visitor while...

Also if he comes back in march anyways on a one year iec visa could we just apply for common law sponsorship than? Or must it living together always be continuous ?

We have been living together for a year. He came over in January of last year and since we both had just come back from traveling (we met in India)...we lived at my dads for 2 months. We got our own...

Sorry, should have mentioned. The reason why we thought it would be best for him to the UK is if his work allows him to work from there. His boss works out of the UK...so we thought it would be best...

We do live together. We will have lived together for a year at the end of January. I can sponsor him but will he be able to stay in the country then? I guess if he gets visitor status?...

Thank you very much for your reply. If he wants to change his status to a visitor does he have to go across the border to do this? If he enters Canada as a visitor and does not have a ticket back...
