Is Medical care not free in Vancouver.

In Ontario, healthcare was free of charge. In BC, I read posts about MSP - can someone who is from BC explain what this is, do you need it as a resident and how much it costs.

I understand the price issue as well ! It is the style we like - very similar to the house we had in Tdot.

more likely to rent than buy to begin with anyhow.

Thanks jonboyE - that's what we were considering doing - coming for a 2 week rekkie first, working out areas and then coming back later and choosing a place.

Know we can rent our property back...

Am in similar situation and believe that these days (outside Canada) can only be counted towards PR renewal and not citizenship !

My partner grew up in Coquitlam and New Westminster. They love Mountain Views.

We both live in London, so we have had the busy city hype for 26 years - something quieter...

TBH - cheapest affordable - thats not in a rough area. We will never be in the room anyway. In New York, we always stay at the Vanderbilt YMCA (cheap as chips) but central and clean.

Golly Gosh - hope that does not happen. My Patner's mother is 86 and we have had to base ourselves in the UK to care for her. I have plenty of proof we have been living together during that time.
