A lot depends on what you want to use it for and what features you want/need. In my case I found the 7" tablets too small for my needs so I went for a 10" (Samsung Note 10.1). Had a 7" been suitable...

I cant speak for Spain, but here on the edges of London (and when I have been in big cities in China and France) Ive had no problem getting wifi connection. Most hotels, Starbucks, shopping malls etc...

As the owner of a Galaxy Note 10.1 I can assure you it is also a 10" tablet, like the Galaxy Tab but with more features. Check your facts http://tiny.cc/ndqzow.

Wow! Prices in Spain are way more than in the UK - I can get a Note for around £250 over here and the price will probably drop closer to or just after Xmas.

Thats interesting. I suppose its a Brits thing wanting a pool even when the beach is near, a bit like us having more convertible cars per capita even though we dont get great weather

Samsung tablets are well worth a look and they have a £50 cashback offer until the end of the year. Samsung make other peoples tablets as well but their own seem to be that bit better spec'd....

My idea/hope is to get something in a fairly popular area but not one of the new purpose built buy-to-rent complexes with 100's of identical properties that seem to be ghost towns...
