I am one of the last to get their visa from those that went to London last year.
We all submitted them late Feb and they started coming back in April and most people had had theirs by the end of May

After 125 days of waiting my Visa has finally been issued today. I will be on the 28th October course. Flights booked for the 16th October.
It doesn't seem 5 mins since the fitness test!:)

I've made a similar post on the Aussie thread but thought I'd try here too.
When I make the move in October I plan to rent my UK house out until the market improves.

It costs a lot but I think you can do it more cheaply if you need to.
The major costs are the visa $3000 which covers you and family partner etc, the visa medical £300 each and of course flights and...

I know very little about the subject but from what I've heard (not sure if it's correct) you can transfer your UK pension over but you cannot then transfer it back. So based on this I'm not rushing...

I have just heard that WAPOL are lifting the 7 year limit on prior service. I've not heard it directly so this will have to be checked but if it is true it should make a lot of people very happy.

I'm afraid WAPol did ask the applicants for a credit check and this was also requested for the visa. I'm not sure what the threshold is with the credit check or the CCJs will impact - it might be...

Yeah that's bang on. You have to pay for Police checks for every country puce lived in for over a year UK's is £45 per head. Also I has had to pay for a couple of Medicals as part of the WAPOL...

It seemed like ages but it was really quite quick. It was probably between 4-8 weeks between each stage and 3-4 weeks before I found out the results of the previous stage. This may have been quicker...

Butler has been suggested to me and looks great but its the other extreme with it being so far North - I'm wondering what the commute to the areas South of Perth like Fremantle or possibly further...
