Good Place To Buy a PC in Oz

Does anyone know of an equivalent to PC World, or other big department store where I can buy a high (ish) spec desktop machine, without getting ripped off?

I am in exactly the same situation - I told the ACS that I would get the people who wrote my references to write a letter saying that they did indeed draft the original references. They seemed happy...
