Medicare??

Myself and my partner are moving over to Sydney. I am going on his 457 visa. I'm not sure how Medicare works.

Do I apply for this before we go?
Will I need separate health insurance aswell as...

It is confusing I have managed to do step one which is the microchip! I'm sure I will manage. Thanks for pointing that out. I should have read it more carefully :)

Step 4 - BEFORE sampling blood For the rabies antIbody test

Then It states that the vet needs to complete certificate A and certificate B. Certificate A and B comes with the import permit

I need the import now as the vet needs to fill out form A and B and these forms are only included in the permit. I thought I could get the permit later on but I read about it and it seems I need it...

We just feel that moving into a fully furnished would be best until we get settled. Even if it's just for a year. Least we know that when we go over we don't have to worry about buying furniture.
