Exmouth for holiday

Anyone been?
Due to time off work etc we will be flying up and wondered what the recommended time would be, good places to stay etc.

Want to go in whale shark season.

Well I'm not a good negotiator - lol !! As they would not budge on the best online offer ! Breakfast for $38 pp seems a lot, but maybe it is not in Singapore !
