When I said technically, it just depends whether the solicitor is willing to just witness the signiture from her ex, stamp the pre-written...

You don't actually need to get a solicitor as you are both on good terms. Just book an appointment with one that can notarize, go with your ex and his ID and it can be done there and then. You can...

It has to be notarized, so he needs to be at the solictors and sign it in front of him. The solictor will ask for ID from him too for their records.

Your best bet is to get a statutory declaration done that would list out your particulars and get it notarized by a solicitor. Take that with you to the interview as its like an affidavit.

There is a duty solicitor at the Edmonton family court I will be attending, they are only scheduled there on some dates, my court date was arranged on one of those dates.
