Re: Brittany Ferries Industrial Action

Hi Jammy James. thank you for this helpful input.

Re: Brittany Ferries Industrial Action

This weekend's talks seem to have been 'positive', but the dispute runs on, so I do not see an early resumption of service.
I think these boats are almost entirely French crewed, though I stand to...

Re: Issues with pet chip scanners/Brittany Ferries

Hi CJM,

Thank you for your kind endorsement. 'Your concern and need to discover more is sound.' I was pretty confident of this already!

Everything is as I have stated, and having...

Issues with pet chip scanners/Brittany Ferries

Brittany Ferries have 'upgraded' facilities at Caen/Ouisterham, and have changed check-in arrangementsfor those with pets.
They now have little yellow scanners at the booths, rather than the larger...

Re: dogs in france

Very interesting that LD Lines will allow this for foot passengers.
Although I am not sure how I would hand-carry a box for my Great Dane. Maybe I could carry it.

At risk of taking this thread...

Re: dogs in france

Not certain you are spot on either!
For example, worming is no longer 24-48 hours before return.
But I do not seek confrontation, all any of us is trying to do on here is to be helpful, and give...

Re: dogs in france

Hi Mark,
The trail may well have gone cold on this one, but in case not.....
DEFRA place a burden on the carrier (usually a ferry company or Le Shuttle) to check the animal's passport, recent vet...

When we bought our house (with en tontine clause, as we have also bought bits of land for growing fruit trees and vegetables)we hired a French solicitor in London, not to act directly for us, but to...

We brought white goods out from UK s the prices were much better there, and bought new specifically to equip the French house. We bought premium lines so they'd last.
All continues to be fine with...

Re: Oil fired boiler

Re: Oil fired boiler

Dreamland indeed, I regret.
All previous posters' advice is sound.
And gite and B&B prospects are really not worth considering as a means to an income.
