If you are on a 457 visa you don't need IELTS you just have to prove you were educated in England, so send certified COPIES of your certificates from secondary school and college.

I would recommend that you call them. Which office did you apply to?

I have heard quite a few people receive odd responses from Sydney and that they have taken a long time to respond to queries.

I went through an agency and paid them nothing, i was a bit puzzled by that but it turns out hospitals pay a finders fee. I found it well worth it took all the stress of me as I didn't have to trawl...

you don't have to send it to where you want to work you can send it to where is quickest. I am with kerriesait I sent mine to Darwin was really quick a friend sent it to Sydney and it was a hassle...

yeah you can work on a diploma as long as you have a higher education certificate in Nursing you should be fine. Get in contact with a recruiter or an emigration office if you aren't sure, or AHPRA...

I would look in to temporary work, I did a working holiday and got in contact with a few recruitment companies and found work easy to get. In terms of the OH I am sure there will be agencies for that...

Hi,

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but look into the cost of school fees. Sydney can be very expensive in terms of education. Being up to $6000 a year :thumbdown:
