If you are on a 457 visa you don't need IELTS you just have to prove you were educated in England, so send certified COPIES of your certificates from secondary school and college.

I would recommend that you call them. Which office did you apply to?

I have heard quite a few people receive odd responses from Sydney and that they have taken a long time to respond to queries.

I would look in to temporary work, I did a working holiday and got in contact with a few recruitment companies and found work easy to get. In terms of the OH I am sure there will be agencies for that...

Hi,

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but look into the cost of school fees. Sydney can be very expensive in terms of education. Being up to $6000 a year :thumbdown:
