FYI accommodation will come with a parking space if you need it. You should also look in the Pasir Panjang area, as it's on the Circle MRT line. A new and quieter line for commuting. To get a sense...

Bukit Timah will be nice and green. MRT in this area doesn't arrive till 2015, but it's close-ish to DOVER MRT and Clementi MRT, which take you to Tanjong Pagar MRT. So you can check accommodation...

I know for a fact that a family of 4 is doing this. Commuting from Johor daily. I don't know them very well, only their kids are mid-graders age. I would expect that it's about 1 hr commute each way.

IB system for 16 yr olds

My daughter goes to an international school that offers the IB program and I've just found out that at 16yrs they do not do any form of exams, ie there is no equivalent of GSCE for her....
