thanks for all the help guys. This is what i have been told by HR:
The application of Employment Pass and Dependent Pass, normally it will takes between 10 to 15 working days to process....

thanks very much for the advice. Signed the contract yesterday. Considerable drop from US salary (at least i think it is; hard to work it out accurately with all the allowances etc)...

so one other question.....do you really need a car in KL if you can commute from section 16 or 17 or PJ? I guess the University is walking distance...
