Default nurseries etc

Hi All
My family and I (my wife and two kids, 1 and 3 years old) are in KL for six months. I am working at Universiti Malaya as a visiting prof. We are wondering if there are any mother and child groups or nurseries that 'british expats' would be able to recommend for kids of our age.
we are currently living in temporary, university housing near Asia Jaya but are likely to move to Bangsar in the near future.
any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated

Hi, glad you made it! For the children, get in touch with IBU http://www.ibufamily.org/ , they run playgroups and it will help your partner in making new friends too. Not sure where Asia Jaya is but the IBU house is in Hartamas, so will probably entail a taxi ride.

For nurseries in the Bangsar area, recommend you look at Children's House, Children's Discovery House or Tadika Suria. There are also quite a few in neighbouring Damansara Heights.

Good Luck

thanks AJW
yeah slight change of plan - was offered a post in Toronto just before we headed off to malaysia...managed to hold off the canadian opportunity, but only for six months, so we have a somewhat curtailed malaysian experience before heading back over to north america. Still, we intend to make the most of it.
will check out that website. Thanks again

The joys of being a working expat. But at least life is not dull eh? I guess it gets more tricky as the kids grow up. All the best with the assignment.
