There's a 100w one at http://www.voltageconverters.com/ for $13.99.

It doesn't have a UK shaped outlet on the front of it but you can use any of those continental plug adapters.

I have some friends who moved to Canada and they love it. They've all got decent jobs or have set up their own businesses and are enjoying life more than they did back in the UK.

Your PS2 probably is pulling more than 50w when you first switch it on and tripping the transformer.

Either that or the transformer can only handle 50w peaks, not continuous. This would explain...

Some British "NTSC capable" videos will play NTSC videos on an NTSC TV. They will usually have two output options: "NTSC on PAL TV", or "NTSC on NTSC TV".

But... almost all don't...
