Re: Moving guinea pigs to US?

No, we haven't gone yet as the visa processing slowed right down and we are still waiting! My research come up with companies that would transport the, and some who won't, as they are delicate...

Re: UK to US Via mrxivo

No, I think there's a recommendation in some states and mandatory in others. We flew into Florida so no need there. Check the health site of the state you are flying into

Re: UK to US Via Mexico

No explanation given. The airport staff tried to get the ESTAs reinstated but Homeland Security refused. We checked in online the day before and the system must have just seen a UK passport and...

Re: UK to US Via Mexico

We spent 15 nights, 14 clear days in Mexico before it went red, then flew to Florida. Had our ESTAs cancelled 6 hrs before the flight to Florida and had to reapply for them in Cancun airport. Missed...

Re: Entering the US 14 days after the UK

It is 14 clear days out of the UK, so 15 nights to be safe. We have just been in US after spending 15 nights in Mexico, US immigration were very careful counting those days and nights!

Re: Moving guinea pigs to US?

We would be going to the US next summer if we go, and they would be 2 by then, so several years left in them yet hopefully!

Re: Moving guinea pigs to US?

I think I've read that you can't fly out of the UK with pets in the cabin on any airline, have to be in the hold. So I'd have to somehow get to a European airport that has an airline that lets guinea...

Re: Moving guinea pigs to US?

Yes I will call some of the airlines closer to the time as I think many are not booking pets onto flights at the moment due to Covid. I am hoping things may be easier next year.

Re: Moving guinea pigs to US?

I know, it's a risk but I will have to exhaust all options to find a way! They are very pampered and I'm not sure I'd trust them with anyone else! Guinea Pigs have lots of fans so I'm guessing the GP...

Re: Covid 19 Travel/Immigration to USA - please check here and ask questions

Yes they moved there and became USC's about 12 years ago. It's really difficult to get any sort of answer as most searches seem to apply to immigrant visas, not just visiting on an ESTA. US embassy...

Re: Covid 19 Travel/Immigration to USA - please check here and ask questions

That info suggested the parent alien must have a USC child under 21. What about the other way round, where the child is the alien but the parent is a USC? Or am I just getting confused?!

Re: Adjusting status from E2 to F3 while in the US

When you say we'd have to leave the USA to finish the immigrant visa process, would we have to move back or fly back for an interview?

We have 6 months until filing date, 17 months until final...

Re: Applying to US schools from UK?

We are looking at Atlanta as that's where our relatives live, but New England would also be an option. Schools here in the South East are quite hard to get into, I was imagining that New England...

Re: Applying to US schools from UK?

Thanks, that's really helpful. We would be aiming to start in August but useful to know some private schools aren't averse to a mid year start. We would definitely be able to go out there during one...
