The contractual issues that I highlighted were told to me by the MD, who presumably sanctioned the Contract of Employment. So, there should not have been any...

Greg, salary looks very good to me and equates to £5,308 per month. I have been offered £3,700 per month plus all expenses, which is still pretty reasonable assuming it is all tax free.

Do any expats living in Riyadh go to Baharain once in a while for a jolly up?

I believe Bahrain is not that far away and more tolerate to westen cultures, with bars, restuarants, etc.
