I've lived and worked (now an early retiree) in Oz since 1988, My wife came out on a spouse visa in 2004 and was granted citizenship in 2007. I'll be eligible for the Aussie Seniors payment as well...

Brisbane for a real Aussie experience, Perth if you want to be with British people and follow football back in the old country at a reasonable hour.

Yeah nothing wrong with being in a union. Coming from the Labour side of politics myself why would I have an issue with them?
I've have however had issues with a poultry company (love 'em) 18 years...
