Your dentist was right to be amazed, an amalgam tatoo shows up radio opaque on an x-ray easily distinguishable from an organic growth such as melanoma on an x-ray.

I don't know any dentist that...

receding gums from "overbrushing" as you put it are not periodontal disease, nor have I ever seen or heard of periodontal disease caused by clenching or grinding ones teeth and again pregnancy...

Gum disease is the patient's fault! While some people are more prone to periodontal disease than others due to genetics, it is still their fault that they do not clean their teeth properly at home...

I agree with you on the comment about waiting a few months to make sure the tooth has settled down, that is also the reason a lot of US dentist only put a temp filling in the root canal. It is easier...

Alot of US dentist think that if a tooth has had a root canal they need a crown to protect the tooth but it really...
