For what it's worth, I did a search prior to posting. I combed through the first four pages of results - and most of them were other countries (Canada, AUS, etc..) and the few that were US/UK...

We are considering gifting / loaning a decent amount of money from the UK to the US and back to the UK between family.

What is the cheapest way to transfer funds?

We could make an infopass appointment but ONLY for tomorrow.... the rest of the month is grayed out. Appointments are also available for Oct 3 - but it'll be expired by then. Should he go...

I checked the receipt number online at the case status page and it says this:

1. We have moved - but they definitely have the latest address. The biometrics appointment...

Sorry to be unclear...

The expiration date on his green card is September 28th 2014. We originally filed the I-751 in late June/early July. I could find the exact date we sent if needed.

Yes biometrics. Whatever we paid $85 and he drove to Delaware for ;) They made the appointment, he jumped through hoops to be there.

No, we haven't received a letter extending his green card :(

We had to wait about a week from the time I called and they said case complete and the time that we got an email with an interview date. We got the letter on July 13th, and his interview date is set...

I would call and ask. Last I asked about that they were looking at 3 weeks for the NVC to 'receive' the case and another 2 weeks to assign a case number.

Chances are, your case is in the building...

Just out of curiosity.. if a CR-1 visa is granted to someone, and now they are here with PR status (right? that's the process?) what could they do to get deported?

For us, we received the I-30 approval notice on May 12... The NVC received our case on the 28th of May, but didn't scan it and assign our case number until the 11th of June. I called every day, so...

If I use my ATM debit card (BOA) to make a purchase in the uk, they charge a 3% fee. But using a Barclays ATM there's never been any fee at all. I was shocked too :)
