Also check out the Catholic School system - it's called something else - but maybe another member can recall. Canadian public schools are very good compared to the English (state) schools system....

Sorry to dredge this up again - but just to add more to Jerseygirl's posts. Not only is your licence invalid, so is the auto insurance if you hire a car. Also on the AMEX issue - those holding USD...

Don't buy a place here at present. The visa rules - as someone else mentioned above - are in a state of flux. You can only 'own' a condo - not a house/land. The latter can only be leased for 30 years...

Yes, I agree. I'm sorry he didn't like Halifax..but as you say..why Halifax? Most people would have chosen Vancouver, or at least Toronto. Go West young man the pay is better, the lifestyle is MUCH...

Thailand dramatically increases visa/workpermit fees

Thailand has raised its residency fees by ujp to 400 %.

That means if you want to live here you could pay up to 5000 dollars US per year per adult and up to 2500 per year per kid under 20.
