Re: Temp Work Permit - Company Bought Out

I just came on here to ask that question as a couple of lawyers I spoke to today said that as long as it's there before your expiry date, that's good enough.

Thanks Mr Mind Reader!

So it's 30 days before it needs to be in the...

TWP Question

We arrived in Canada in 2012 sponsored on a 3 year Temp Work Permit by the company I had worked for in the UK for the previous 8 years.

We're now 18 months into our Canadian life and I've heard...

Hi,

We moved to Whitby, ON in May this year on 3 year TWPs (me, my wife and my 2 year old boy). We're due to give birth in the next couple of weeks to our second child and I'm unsure what to do...

We arrive in 2 weeks and I've started to look at my options with vehicles, insurance, etc.

Don't worry about the thickness of my skin - I get enough grief at work to have developed that little...

Re: Toronto - Car Seat/Travel Cot Shopping

Oh look, another completely unneccessary 'insult' post that achieves absolutely nothing.

I've read a lot of threads on this forum over the last 6 months and I've noticed it's always the same few...

Re: Toronto - Car Seat/Travel Cot Shopping

Thanks Iain.

It seems there's some confusion about what a 'travel cot' actually is - it must be a British phrase. It's basically a cot/crib that folds up and fits into a neat little bag making it...

It does DWUK. Thank you.

With regards the difficulty of getting hold of travel cots, prices start from about £30 in the UK and the one we own is about £70 - the only ones I could find online in...

Re: Toronto - Car Seat/Travel Cot Shopping

Thanks ukcanuck.

We have a 2 year old and a baby on the way so we'd decided to leave the travel cot at my parents house in the Uk for when we come back and visit. If travel cots are...
